What is a Demand Draft?
A demand draft is a document which is financially viable and is payable on demand. You can pay a demand draft only at a specified branch mentioned by the bank. There are a lot of cases of cheque bouncing as the drawer and the payee are unknown to each other. To reduce the chances of these risks, demands drafts are only made where the transaction is guaranteed. A demand draft comes with validation of three months.
